Job Responsibilities
- Inspecting equipment like Pressure Vessel,Columns,Heat Exchangers to detect defects or flaws using engineering tools such as measuring devices or specialized software.
- Inspecting materials and structures to ensure that they meet structural requirements
- Examining finished products to determine if they meet specifications or will need to be repaired or replaced
- Conducting research to develop new engineering techniques or technologies.
- Inspecting work sites to ensure that work is being performed according to plans and specifications
- Providing technical support to others in the field by answering questions about codes and standards
- Preparing written reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective action
- Performing tests to determine physical properties of materials such as strength, density, and thermal conductivity
- Preparing inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective action.
Desired Experience
Inspector Should have hands-on experience in any one of the commodities (I.e. – Pressure Vessel, Valves, Heat Exchangers, Boiler, Column etc.) however multiple experience in commodity preferred.
